Welcome!   You may be interested in knowing a little something about me.  I was born and raised in El Paso, Texas, attending Coldwell Elementary School and graduating from Austin High School.

My music learning started early by teaching myself piano at the age of 9 and later taking lessons.  I then started on flute and clarinet in elementary school.  In high school I played clarinet in the band and orchestra and sang in the choir.  In college I studied piano, Bb and Eb clarinet, flute, saxophone, and bassoon.

I earned a Bachelor of Music Performance degree at Texas Tech University, a Master of Music Performance degree at Michigan State University continuing  with post graduate studies.  I have studied with Rudolf Jettel, Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra; Keith Stein author of "The Art of Clarinet Playing"; and Elsa Ludwig Verdehr of the internationally known Verdehr Trio.

I have played in the bands and orchestras of each school attended, as well as the Lubbock Symphony, Lansing Symphony, Saginaw Symphony Orchestra and El Paso Wind Symphony.  Well, the list goes on with teaching, performances and more, but I think you now have an idea of my musical background.  Enlarge the pictures by clicking on them.
